JSM Engineering Ltd was established in 1979 and is a leading supplier to the construction industry
We design, manufacture and install architectural metalwork. Our range of products includes architectural metalwork such as Balconies, Staircases, Balustrades, Handrails, Platforms, Walkways and Canopies.
We are a growing company, circa £4m turnover and 50 employees, that has a friendly working environment with excellent prospects and security.
A new position has arisen for a SHEQ Officer. This is a hands on role that reports directly to the Directors
The role has day to day management of these core areas
- Health and Safety
-
Co-ordinate , develop, implement, update, communicate and ensure adherence of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures

Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting

Co-ordinate, assess, monitor and procure maintenance of facilities and machinery to meet business needs

Quality

Co-ordinate , develop, implement, update, communicate and ensure adherence of quality systems of work and procedures

Ensure the Company meets its obligations in order to maintain its UKCA accreditation, including procuring training and reporting

Training

Co-ordinate, assess, monitor and procure employee training to meet business needs

Co-ordinate , develop, implement, assess, update, communicate and ensure adherence of environmental policies

The ideal candidate will need
-
to be a highly organised self starter,who is able to work with autonomy and discretion, and can successfully communicate and implement SHEQ systems within our internal teams.

Experience of similar role within a Metalwork, Engineering & Construction environment
-
NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent SHEQ related qualifications
-
the ability to promote continuous improvement

experience of developing, implementing and maintaining logistical and operation processes and procedure
-
confident ability in Microsoft word and Excel
