JSM Engineering Ltd is a specialist subcontractor with circa £4m turnover, we have over  40 years experience in the design, fabrication and installation of architectural metalwork for the construction industry.

​

We are looking to recruit a Contracts Coordinator

​

The role is varied but with a focus on coordination and maintenance of the legal and commercial aspects of construction contracts from inception through to final account resolution.  Day to day tasks will include:

​

- Examining contract conditions within acceptable company standards to protect the company's interests, understand the commercial risk and opportunities of deviations, negotiate terms where necessary and communicate to management where deviations need to be amended or withdrawn

​

- Reviewing final contract documents prior to being signed

​

- Working closely with contract managers from handover to final account ensuring events are correctly recorded and notified in line with contractual obligations and that applications are made in due time to minimise risk and ensure payments are made in line with the contract

​

- Assisting contract managers, department heads and directors in negotiating and agreeing final accounts, progressing and resolving contractual / payment disputes that may arise

​

- Attending meeting as and when necessary

​

- Completion of prequalification questionnaires and necessary forms for bonds and warranties ensuring company standards and requirements are met

​

This opportunity would :-

1) A tenacious and thorough Graduate (or QBE) with construction (or legal) experience and sound contractual knowledge

2) Solicitor who wishes to expand their expertise into field of construction

​

Experience of negotiation, and maintenance of standard forms of construction contracts including JCT and NEC together with a thorough understanding of the provisions of HGCR Act in relation to construction contracts would be a distinct advantage

​
