This is an excellent opportunity to join JSM Engineering Ltd. As a specialist subcontractor with circa £4m turnover. We have  40 years experience in the design, fabrication and installation of architectural metalwork for the construction industry.  Our range of products include architectural metalwork such as staircases, Balustrades, Handrails, Balconies, Platforms, Walkways and Canopies

We require an experienced Sales Estimator to complement our existing team.  Your role will report to the Sales Manager and will be to secure profitable business opportunities  from new and existing customers  by identifying their requirements, estimating and submitting competitive bids.

​

The ideal candidate will have

• minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role

• excellent organisation, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work proactively with colleagues, suppliers and customers

• a thorough understanding of architect and engineer drawings including structural calculations

• technical steel knowledge with a solid understanding of secondary and architectural steel work including staircases, balconies, balustrade and walkways.

• commercial awareness and a good understanding of Contract law to efficiently cost projects and complete quantity take-off and written quote submissions.

• working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft office and Eque2 Construct (desirable)

• full UK driving licence as will be required to attend meetings at various locations
